Happy Mother's Day!

Randy passed his baptism interview and will be baptized this Saturday!! Yippee! Usually we do a practice run with everyone we teach before the real interview but we didn't have a chance because he kept getting called in to work but even without the practice run he was perfect! I'm so happy :)

This week we got seriously rained on. We have one family
we're teaching up in the mountains. It's about a 30 minute walk up to their house and we went up there on Wednesday night hopefully to be there when the dad was off work. But when we got there they weren't there and the thunder and lighting started so crazy. Then it started down pouring rain and we only had one umbrella haha. On the tricycle ride back we were sitting on the back of the motorcycle and it felt like star wars warp speed with all the rain coming at us. It was a pretty wonderful adventure :)

We had some new ways of finding new people to teach this week. Sister Villanueva saw this really cute house and she wanted a picture of it but was too shy so I asked the owner if we could take a picture and they said yes and then they told us to come in and sit and we got to teach them and set a return appointment!

Also we hiked up a mountain to find the parents of one of the teenagers we're teaching. (She lives with her aunt for school) and they were super nice and also want us to come back!

Another good one! So last transfer Sister Villanueva didn't believe me that there's white karibao (water buffalo) because she's never seen one before! I showed her some pictures and then she believed. (gamay nga pagtuo no? charot) THEN on Sunday we saw one! Right by the church. We stopped to take some pictures with him and then this guy riding by on his motorcycle stopped and said that me and the karibao were the same color. Then we talked for a while and set a return appointment with him too!

The moral of the story is ITS ALWAYS THE RIGHT TIME TO SHARE THE GOSPEL!! Don't wait around for the opportunity to present itself- create the opportunity yourself and then act on it :)

love you all

Sister Zollinger
