My Family Miracle

Hey this week was great!

First of all Kevin is getting baptized this Saturday! Yipeeeeeee!!!!

Also a member family fed us the best fish of my life I definitely need to just move here and marry a fisherman or something.

So on Monday night last week the assistants called us to tell us that we're training again in Zone Conference and our topic is 'Using Temples & Family History work in finding the elect and aligning the keys of Moses & Elijah'... Um. We both realized that we super don't do that. & In order to have an effective training and to have power and authority we needed to actually do what we were training about. John 7:17 "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." So! We did it! We found the elect using temples and family history and it was miraculous!!!   We found the most people I've ever found in a week in my whole mission all by using the My Family booklet. The first day alone we started teaching 24 new people it was insane I tell you what! I felt like skipping down the road on our way home! The church is true! We only had like 1 person turn us away all week when we started with the My Family book. We had one lady that was so excited- we found her on Wednesday and went back to her house on Thursday- She told us after we came she talked to her husband all night about how they would raise their family in the church. She accepted the invitation to be baptized right away it was so exciting.

I loved doing Family History so much before I got to the MTC I'm grateful Heavenly Father sent me this reminder of the importance of it.

Ephesians 1: 10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

I testify that Heavenly Father is hastening His work on both sides of the veil. I see it everyday and it is such a blessing and a privilege to be a part of it!! Yippee!!

Here's some promised blessings for doing your family history work.

Closeness and joy in your family
Divine protections afforded those who are faithful in his service
Your patriarchal blessing will link you to your fathers and be more meaningful to you
Your love and gratitude for your ancestors will increase
Your testimony of and conversion to the savior will become deep and abiding
Protection from the temptations and ills of this world
Personal power
Power to change
Power to repent
Power to learn
Power to be sanctified
Power to turn the hearts of your family together and heal that which needs healing
Your own knowledge and faith in the Savior will increase and you will receive a more certain witness that life continues beyond the veil
Find joy and be blessed in every other aspect of your life as you fulfill the obligation that has been sent from heaven
You will be protected against the intensifying influence of the adversary
You will be safeguarded throughout your life
You are promised the inspired help that you seek and need

Go and do it!!!

I love you all. Eat your vegetables

I care and I will

Hey so the come follow me nun wasn't home on Tuesday when we went and her neighbors said she's not actually a nun she's just crazy so that's kind of a super bummer but we'll hoping she comes to church again so we can talk to her.

This week was insane. Monday was P-Day, Tuesday we had District Council- looked for the nun- and took the bus to Bacolod- Wednesday we had Missionary Leadership Council in Bacolod again- Thursday we went to Old Sagay and I came back to Cadiz with Sister Dapena for exchanges- Friday we ended exchanges- weekly planned- and taught our favorite family- Saturday we worked and worked and Sunday we taught recent converts and Sister Nanlabi packed her stuffs because she got transferred! :'( This morning we went to Bacolod again and then my new companion and I traveled back here to Cadiz! Also I've had a fever since Wednesday and I think it's probably strep throat so basically I'm on my death bed this week was so insane. I'm exhausted! But I'm okay!

My new companion is Sister Barcenas! We house shared in
Kabankalan the transfer before this and had Christmas together and stuff so we're already good friends. She will go home after this transfer so we gotta work the hardest!

Sister Nanlabi was the best companion ever I think we're sisters for real. I learned so much this transfer and was so so so truly humbled. It hurt a bit. I'm happy.

THE COME FOLLOW ME MANUAL NUN CAME TO CHURCH!

^^^ TRUE STORY!! SHE WAS EVEN DRESSED IN HER NUN STUFF! AND WE HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH HER ON TUESDAY SHE WANTS TO BE TAUGHT!! WOOOOHOOOOO!

So obviously miracles are alive and well in Cadiz!! (See above) YIPEEEE

Anyways. I'm calm now. except just kidding because THE BEST CHESS PLAYER IN CADIZ (and probably the world) AKA HAIDEE MORATO IS BAPTIZED! Wooohooo!! Oh the joy. She read 1 Nephi 2 in her personal study this week and her favorite verse was
19 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying: Blessed art thou, Nephi, because of thy faith, for thou hast sought me diligently, with lowliness of heart.
it's so perfect because it reminds me of her. She's the best. She's so humble and so wonderful to teach because she's not afraid to say that she doesn't understand and because of that we can answer her questions and the spirit can testify to her and now she has a rock solid testimony and she wants to teach her family to gospel.

I met a nice young mom yesterday named Crisma because she's born on Christmas. I got to teach her the Restoration real quick. We're teaching her brother too but I didn't know that a first. It's so wonderful to see how Heavenly Father works on families. Now we'll teach them both together. It's cool because last week we asked Bishop Chua what we could do to help and he said he needed a chorister and someone to say the closing prayer at a funeral and hey Nanlabi can chorister and I can say a pretty good prayer so we went! And now we're receiving so many blessings! So Crisma's brother is Randy and his mother in law just died and they were both at the funeral and the speakers taught the Plan of Salvation. Then later in the week brother Randy's sister in law called us begging us to go to their house and teach Randy the Plan of Salvation. So we did! And he's so ready! I love the plan.

Lots more happened this week- a lot of really hard stuffs and a lot of really good stuffs. I'm grateful for opposition in all things and that we can the power to choose to be happy.

LOVEY
